Tony is partnership secretary of Zolfo Cooper and is based in London. He has undertaken a number of chief executive and advisory roles in a variety of sectors, including both service industries and manufacturing.
Tony began his career with a large international accountancy firm in 1974 and spent 12 years as a partner in their corporate finance and corporate recovery group.
Since 1998 Tony has concentrated on turnaround opportunities. His assignments include an operational turnaround of a building company, a period as CEO of a quoted manufacturing group and the strategic realignment of a professional practice.
Before joining Zolfo Cooper Tony was COO of Kroll’s restructuring group and ultimately of Kroll Inc, responsible for operational policies, procedures and performance, budgeting, incentive schemes, HR, IT and Facilities.
Major recent projects:
He was involved in the restructuring of the Federal-Mogul Group, in one of largest cross border restructuring proceedings in history. The Group consists of 133 UK companies and is the leading global manufacturer of automotive parts, operating primarily out of the US and Europe.
The running of a large newspaper group, as interim CEO with his role covering strategic and operational issues, leading a programme to re-finance £115 million of mezzanine debt and syndicate £150 million of senior debt, streamlining IT strategy including re-design of the financial reporting systems.
